On the 8th of march, and more importantly International Women's Day, we attended an exciting blockchain event that aimed to empower and inspire founders in the tech industry. It was organized by the crypto girls club and Lisk. Titled “Break the bias” it included: Interactive workshops, wellness activities, an NFT gallery, live music, crypto fortune telling, and panel discussions. Our CEO Katharina Zeuch was one of the speakers at a panel and we gathered some insights from the talk so if you couldn't make it, don't worry we have you covered.

Find your confidence as a founder!
The first panel of the day was moderated by Zoe Faircloth. With her seated four wonderful women:
Dr. Su-Zeong Fröhlich - Co-Founder, Visiblr
TE Olayiwola - Building Sunrise Stake
Sylvia Durach - Co-Founder, Hopa
Katharina Zeuch - Luna Vision
Despite having diverse backgrounds and experiences, these women concurred that there is a pressing requirement for greater education on blockchain technology. They also shared their personal experiences on what it takes to become a founder. Certain panel members emphasized the importance of savings, especially during the crypto winter. On the other hand, some believed that one should simply dive into the venture and learn along the way, as there is no such thing as perfect timing, and waiting for it is unnecessary. Katharina explained it as a three-step approach.
Three important requirements to become a founder
Would you be ready to manage a large amount of bureaucracy? This is the first step in embarking on the journey of starting a business. If you reside in Germany, you are probably familiar with the numerous official identification numbers such as Handelregisternummer, Steuernummer, Betriebsnummer, and Umsatzsteuer ID, among others. A spreadsheet could be useful in keeping track of them.
Do you have the ability to represent your company confidently? In the case of blockchain startups, it can be challenging to attract clients due to the prevalence of fraudulent activities. Therefore, it is crucial to establish a strong company image, with your face at the forefront, to gain the trust of potential customers.
Do you have any plans to start a family? Under current legislation, it is not feasible to run your company while maternity leave, and you will be compelled to take maternity leave. As a result, it is necessary to find a trustworthy CEO to take over during that period.
While these steps are important, they are inadequate without one essential component: passion. It is the driving force that will sustain you when working tirelessly around the clock.

A Diverse and Engaging Program: Highlights from the Tech Event
The event featured other panel discussions such as, "How can we bring the next 1b to crypto?" which sparked an interesting conversation on the potential of cryptocurrencies to transform the global economy. In addition, attendees had the opportunity to attend a self-development workshop led by Jehonë Jahaj and Sanya Manzoor, who shared practical tips on personal growth and fulfillment through a meditation and poem dynamic.
The event also included a roundtable discussion titled "Break the Bias," which aimed to foster open and honest conversations around diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. Finally, attendees could enjoy an NFT gallery and fortune-telling experience, and live music adding a unique and fun element to the event. Overall, the event provided a rich and diverse program that catered to the needs and interests of a wide range of tech professionals.
